Getting ready for your move to Konvo 2.0
What moves with you, what you set up fresh, and how the switch itself works.
Your workspace is moving to Konvo 2.0, and your history moves with it. You set most of it up in advance while your current Konvo carries on as normal, then pick a time for the switch itself.
Nothing changes for you or your customers until that scheduled time.
What comes with you
- Your conversations, with their messages.
- Your contacts, matched by phone and email.
- Your team. Everyone sets a new password on their first login, because the two systems handle sign-in differently.
- Your billing, on your current conditions.
- Your AI. Your previous configuration will be migrated, but the layout of it will be different. Konvo 2.0 trains completely differently.
What you set up fresh, and why
- Your views and filters. Views are far more capable now, and several of the old filters became built-in features. You rebuild the views your team actually uses, which takes minutes.
- Your integrations.
- Your quick replies. They have to be rebuilt as macros in Konvo 2.0.
How your old conversations behave
They arrive unassigned. In Konvo 2.0 your AI is an agent that conversations get assigned to, and nothing migrated is assigned to it, so your agent works on new conversations. If a customer replies on an old thread, it comes back as work for a person.
That is deliberate. You do not want an AI that has just met your business answering a conversation somebody was already halfway through.
Anything that had been automated or had gone quiet arrives closed, so you are not opening your new inbox to a thousand conversations that were already finished.
Before the switch
You get a guided setup in your current Konvo, and you can do it at your own pace over the days beforehand. It walks you through connecting everything on the other side: your email, your integrations, your live chat widget.
Everything you connect there is staged rather than live. It is configured and verified, and it starts receiving only at the switch, which is what keeps your current setup working right up to the moment it changes.
Choosing your slot
The last step is picking when the switch happens, from the times available for your workspace.
Pick a quiet hour
For roughly two hours around the switch the platform is not available, and messages arriving in that window need handling once you are through. This is the single most important thing to plan around, and it is why most people choose the middle of the night.
After the switch
You log in to Konvo 2.0 with everything already there. Two things happen with us rather than on your own:
- WhatsApp gets connected, which is the one channel that cannot be staged in advance. Have admin access to your Meta Business account and a phone that can receive a code.
- Your AI gets set up and we walk you through what is new.
It is one way. Once the switch has happened, nothing flows back, and your old Konvo becomes read-only so you can still look things up in it.
