Gmail / Google Workspace
Connect a Google mailbox to KonvoAI with a single sign-in — no DNS changes.
The Gmail connection links a Google account (personal Gmail or Google Workspace)
to KonvoAI. Incoming mail to that mailbox becomes conversations, and replies are
sent as the mailbox itself — so customers see your real Google address, not
@mail.konvo.to.
This is the fastest way to use a branded address: there are no DNS records to add. Authentication is the Google sign-in itself.
Setup
Start the connection
In Settings → Channels → Email, choose Add email → Google, then Sign in with Google.
Grant access
Google shows a consent screen listing the permissions KonvoAI requests (see below). Approve it with the mailbox you want to connect.
Done
Google sends you back to KonvoAI and the mailbox appears in your email channel list. New mail starts flowing into conversations right away.
Permissions KonvoAI requests
On the Google consent screen you'll see these Gmail scopes:

KonvoAI requests Gmail scopes only — nothing broader. Access is granted offline so the connection keeps working without you signing in for each message.
Caveats
Reconnection
If the Google grant is revoked — you remove KonvoAI's access from your Google account, change the password in a way that invalidates tokens, etc. — the connection is marked needs reconnection and email stops flowing. KonvoAI shows a Reconnect prompt in the channel settings; click it and sign in again to restore it.
Google Workspace admin policies
Some Google Workspace organizations enforce a "Cloud session control" / re-authentication policy that prevents third-party apps from holding offline access. If you hit this during sign-in, either ask your Workspace admin to relax the policy for KonvoAI, or connect a non-Workspace Google account instead.
Staying connected
Google's new-mail notifications expire periodically; KonvoAI renews them automatically in the background, so you don't need to do anything to keep the connection live.
Threading
Replies are threaded back into the original Gmail conversation, so they appear in the customer's mailbox as part of the same thread rather than a new email.
